Our Mission

We are building a church that loves people and leads them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus!

Our Vision

Following in the way of Jesus

Tangible Presence

We pursue the power of God through a culture of prayer & worship. We want to experience faith through the power of His Holy Spirit.

Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. Habakkuk 3:2

Authentic Discipleship

We are passionate about following in the way of Jesus, and not in the ways of the world, a counter formation, so we may become more deeply transformed disciples of Christ.

Come, follow me.
Matt 16:24

Sacrificial Mission

We pursue the spiritual, social, and cultural flourishing of our society.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8

Our Beliefs

THE BIBLE - God's Principles for living

The Bible is God's living and inspired word to all people. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supernatural source of truth for all Christian beliefs and living, because it is inspired by God. It contains life-changing principles to empower the person to live the new life God has for His people and is relevant to our daily living.

TRINITY - God is a community of love

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity.  He exists as one substance in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

THE FATHER

God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy.  It is in Him that we live, move and exist.  God is good: He is our Father.  He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

THE SON - God became man

Jesus Christ, son in human form, came from heaven to earth and modelled for us a sinless and abundant human life.  Jesus showed us a new way to live and offered himself as the unique and perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people.  Jesus' death on the cross provided a way for all people to be forgiven. We believe his death is the only way through which we can gain God's forgiveness.  He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.  He ascended to heaven's glory but will return again to earth to bring about the new creation.

THE HOLY SPIRIT - God is always present

God the Holy Spirit, co-equal in dignity, power and honour with the Father and Son is sent to help the followers of Christ live their new life of faith and love. God promises to never leave or abandon us.  He gives us His Holy Spirit to assure us of our relationship with Christ.  He guides His followers into all truth and gives us power to reflect Jesus in our daily lives and to be a source of life and joy to the world around us.  He convicts people of their sin, God's righteousness, and the coming judgement.  He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes s more like Christ.

HUMANITY - God's image bearers

All people are made in the image of God and are the supreme object of His creation. People were created to be in relationship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people cannot gain a right relationship with God through their own efforts. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love and whom God wants to be restored to life of purpose.

SALVATION - God's design for forgiveness

The death of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the only way of salvation and is God's free lavish gift offered to us for the forgiveness of our sins and to allow us to enter the new life God has for us. Salvation happens the moment people accept this gift and place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as a way of being forgiven and accepted into a relationship with God. Salvation is a free gift from God that cannot be earned through our own efforts.

CHURCH - God's design for community

The Church is a local community of followers of the way of Jesus, unified through our common values, sense of purpose, shared faith and love of Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Jesus and obeying the principles of living the abundant life shown to us through His life and example and it seeks to bring Jesus' life-changing message to the world. The Church works together in love and unity - its ultimate purpose being to reflect Jesus in his power, glory and goodness to people.

LIVING - Celebrating our new life:

We believe that even though we are saved by the gracious gift of God through no effort to earn it, that this new life we have been given requires that we express our thankfulness and respond to God's love, declaring it not just with our mouths, but in our actions as individuals and also sharing this new life as a church community. We do this by making public acts of faith through both adult believers' baptism and in regular taking of communion - marks of our new life in Christ.

Through Baptism:

Baptism by immersion in water symbolises the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. This is your public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Chris as your personal Saviour and is a celebration that you have entered a new life following Him. Baptism does not save you, but shows the world that you have already been saved. While baptism is not essential for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ.

Through Communion:

Communion, or the Lord's Supper, is a way given to all followers of Jesus Christ to remember His sacrifice for us and to symbolise and celebrate the new life we have entered as a community. The elements of bread and wine or juice are symbols of Christ's broken body and shed blood. Communion is not a means of salvation. Rather, it is a sign of a believer's faith in the atoning work of he cross.

Through Mission:

Our mission is to build a church that loves people and leads them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. We do this by pursuing the tangible presence of God, by practicing authentic discipleship in the way of Jesus, and living on sacrificial mission for the transformation of society. To experience faith through the power of the Holy Spirit through a culture of prayer and worship. To follow the ways of Jesus so we may become more deeply transformed disciples of Christ, pursuing the spiritual, social and cultural flourishing of our society.
